This episode is from 18-04-1997 and features eco-warrior Swampy and Fred MacAulay as the guests. It’s particular notable for Swampy’s ignorance about who Neil Hamilton is after being told that Neil is a supporter of Swampy’s cause – famously commenting “Excellent! Who’s he?”. I’ve cleaned up the audio as best I can.

I like how there’s so many moments here where Angus tries to remain serious but ends up breaking.

I love the quote from Adam West saying how he was annoyed after batman as people treated him as a joke. What must people treat him like now after Family Guy. He’s not exactly a serious character in that.

ooooooo, because comments on a website really make a person don’t they. You were being critical and then denied it, hence the lying. I’ll be critical of whatever the hell I feel for, its my right. So I’ll be critical of you thinking you can know a person you’ve never met based on some remarks made on a website, it’s a rather retarded way of thinking, or perhaps not thinking as the case may be.

Excuse me! I was stating a fact. One that you and your condescending ways seem oblivious to. And I have read other of your comments throughout this site so I know what I am talking about.
By the way you being condescending now that is me being critical you are an obnoxious twat-again that is me being critical and also right.

Way to go, make a critical comment and then deny it, we’ll have to add liar to your list of tricks…..

Maybe you just don’t make an effort full stop. You do like to criticise though don’t you?

Also if he seems a bit dim here I would venture that it may be due to several joints in the dressing room….

Not really certain, I’m neither main stream nor alternative. I don’t make any particular effort to conform or to not, I must conform to something as its how you get on with the world, if you fight everything you end up a loner with no friends. Most folks say I’m rather eccentric.

what do you conform to, FordPrefect, I’m just curious.

There’s no such thing as a nonconformist! Everyone conforms to something. Swampy conforms to a group who go and live in trees and consequently kill said trees and scare off all the local wild life and leave a huge mess behind them when they finally leave. I’ve seen his “protests” first hand and the damage they cause.

I love it when Paul gets bored and starts telling stories.

I like how it’s the stuffy suits versus the nonconformists. They seem to be loving the point margin…

I like to think Swampy was already in the room when they walked in, having tunneled in from his muddy field several hours previously.

Swampy-(“Utter moron”)perhaps some people should find out what he stood for, his principles and actions. Just because a person isn’t glued to a TV screen, and being brainwashed my the media, doesn’t mean they are a moron!!!!!!

Not necessarily. Sometimes a boring guest makes for a good show, because Paul gets to take the piss out of them for the whole episode.

Poor Swampy – he’s just out of his element here.

Or from the opening seconds due to the fact that one of the guests they’ve got is fucking shite?
